Barbara J. Manchester

Barbara J. Manchester, age 84, of Lassellsville, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 30, 1935 in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Leroy Kretser and Laura Getman Kretser. Barbara attended Oppenheim Schools and was employed for several years at the former Miltex Manufacturing Company in Dolgeville until her retirement. Mrs. Manchester was of the Methodist faith, a member of the former Lassellsville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Richard C. Manchester whom she married on May 28, 1955, one son David A. Manchester and his wife Sandy of Lassellsville; two brothers Bill Kretser and Leroy Kretser, Jr., one sister Shirley Kretser-Berry; three grandchildren David A. Manchester, Jr., Natasha Cardamone and Amanda Manchester (Willard Dygert, Sr.); three great grandchildren Christopher Manchester, Nova Dygert and Willard Dygert, Jr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by one son Richard C. Manchester, Jr. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Ephratah Rural Cemetery with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
