Darlene E. Woodruff Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Darlene E. Woodruff, age 75, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, NY. Born on October 19, 1946, in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Showers) Chase. Darlene was employed in fulfilling a variety of assigned contract jobs for Capabilities, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoyed coloring books, embroidering, and reading. Darlene loved to go for long walks and being around her friends and family. She was a longtime member of the Wellsburg Community Church and was active in the church choir - she loved to sing! She married her beloved husband, Charles Henry Woodruff on March 20, 1982, they were wedded for 33 years until his passing in 2015. Darlene is survived by her sister, Gayle Swank; niece, Jessica D. Cook (Ben); great-nephew, Maximillian C. Cook; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Darlene is predeceased by her brother, Gerald L. Chase and cat, Lil Mama. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
