Dorothea Renslow

Dorothea Renslow, age 65, of Johnstown passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side. Born on September 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late George Fuller and Josephine Belmonte Fuller. She was employed at the NYS Office of Court Administration until her retirement. She was a self-described “bird nerd”. Dor loved to watch and photograph birds and wildlife, especially hummingbirds and blue birds at her feeders and nest boxes. She also enjoyed boating, scenic rides in the mountains of the Northeast, her flower gardens, and fall foliage season. Dorothea is survived by her beloved husband David Renslow; children, Richard Silvano (Amy) of Wetumpka, AL, Christie Lynn Grygiel (Chuck Lawrence) of Niskayuna, NY; grandsons, Anthony, Matthew, Jaxon; brother, Robert “Butch” Fuller (Mechelle); sisters, Joanne Garhart (Tom), Georgianna Primeau (Tim), Barbara Jean Formica (Dan), Elizabeth “Liz” Feller (Wayne); as well as numerous nephews and nieces and their children; and lifelong friend Sue Decker. The family would like to thank Doctor Mohammed Shareef, the staff, and nurses of St. Mary’s Healthcare, as well as Chaplain Bob Walters for their devoted and loving care for Dor. In keeping with her wishes, the funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends and family will be invited to a memorial celebration of her life later in the summer.
