Edward A. Orr Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edward Allen Orr Jr., age 81, of Johnstown, NY, passed away on Saturday June 18, 2022, at his home. Born on February 18, 1941, in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of the late Warren and Margaret (Grovenburgh) Ovitt. Edward was a longtime member of the Johnstown Moose. In addition to his parents, Edward is predeceased by his companion of over 39 years, Ruth E. Oathout who passed away on November 27, 2008, and his sister, Patricia VanDyke. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY, with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. Following the service everyone is invited to join the family for a gathering in Ed's memory at the Sir William Johnson Fire Dept in the pavilion.
