Ernest H. Davis Jr.

Ernest H. Davis Jr., age 90, of Fonda, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the Wilkinson Health Care Facility, Amsterdam, NY. Born on December 24, 1931, in Gloversville, NY, he was the son to the late Ernest Sr. and Mary (Romanique) Davis. He married his loving wife, Ella Chase on December 3, 1959. They later moved to Randall where they started their family of six. Ella passed away on March 1, 2016. Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved John Deere tractors, and always found enjoyment in talking to his friends and family about them. He is survived by his children, Letitia Vanhusen (John), Sandy Shingledecker (Neal), Shelly Wagner (Paul), Kevin Davis (Jamie), Mike Davis (Holly), Tim Davis (Carol); brother, Thomas Davis; sisters, Gretha Russel, Doris Taylor; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
