Dr. Howard H. Smith Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dr. Howard H. Smith Sr., age 79, of Powder Springs GA, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Born on March 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Howard and June (Pitts) Smith. Howard Sr. pastored for 10 years in Gloversville NY, and followed the Lords calling to be a missionary with Rock of Ages Prison Ministry of Tennessee of which he served for the past 30 years with the Revival Team. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Victoria J. Leach Smith; four children, Debra Smith of Virginia, Howard Smith Jr. (Katrina) of Georgia, Pastor Martin Smith (Mary) of New York, Veronica Griffin (Joey) of Tennessee; siblings, Richard Smith, Gloversville, Linda Harding of Johnstown, Nancy Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, Ralph Smith of Gloversville; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Howard is predeceased by brother, Lyndon Smith and sister, Sandy Haak. Howard Sr. is remembered for his faithfulness and love of serving the Lord. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday October 14, 2021, at 12:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ephratah Rural Cemetery, Ephratah.
