June E. Hill

June E. Hill, age 91, of Ephratah, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side. Born on November 5, 1930, in Salisbury Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Ellen (Slater) Cool. June was employed as a data entry clerk at G.T.E., Contel until her retirement. She was a member of the Ephratah Reformed Church, Upstate Bowling Club, and Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She married the love of her life, Donald G. Hill on September 24, 1949, until his passing on May 31, 2008. June is survived by her children, Gary Hill (Cindyann), Mark Hill (Angela), David Hill, Susan DeWitt, Sandra Palmateer (Darrin); grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, Daniel, Kevin, Anthony, Adia, Jaime, Amanda, Kenneth Jr., and Ashley; as well as several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, June is predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Hill. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Sunday December 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Ephratah Reformed Church, 140 County Highway 140, St Johnsville located in Ephratah, with Former Pastor Jeffrey Hinderliter officiating. Interment will follow at Ephratah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June’s memory can be made to the St Johnsville NH Resident Disadvantage Fund, or to the Ephratah Community Food Bank C/O Karen Hinderliter.
