Melissa Kenny

Melissa Kenny, age 49, of Gloversville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at The ARC Lexington, Gloversville. Born on July 30, 1972, in Port Jervis, NY, she was the daughter of the Richard and Linda (Myers) Fink. Melissa moved to Missouri where she went to high school and graduated from Wright City High School. After high school she returned to New York and got married. She gave birth to her son, Michael and daughter, Katrina, whom were both the lights of her life. She worked in a preschool for some time while living in the Glens Falls area. In 2003 she became part of the Lexington family as she wished to receive more help with her physical needs. Melissa was a very happy and kind woman. She had a huge heart that matched her smile. Her smile could light up an entire room. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, her grandson, PJ, and the staff and her friends at her home. Melissa was a wonderful woman with such a kind soul. She always had a beautiful smile for you no matter how she was feeling. She was truly a ray of sunshine. Melissa loved to make things to sell and was very proud of her crafting skills. She was a wonderful advocate for herself and others and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Melissa is survived by her daughter, Katrina Kenny and son, Michael Kenny. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, VA, at a later date to be determined by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral home, 215 E.
