Michael W. Mackey, age 43, of Johnstown, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home. Born on December 30, 1977, in Cooperstown, NY he is the son of Gerald and Kathleen (Frank) Mackey. Michael received his High School Diploma from Worcester High School and then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College. He was a customer service supervisor at Euphrates Inc. In Michael’s spare time he enjoyed Christmas, spending time with his family, and most importantly his special place with Lisa at their camp. He is survived by the love of his life, Lisa (Miner) Mackey who he married on May 14, 2016. His father, Gerald Mackey (Mary Madison); mother, Kathleen Mackey; stepson, Kyle Dwyer; brothers, Bill Mackey (Leanne Butler) their children Braydon, Nicholas, and Dillan, Brian Mackey (Kim)their children Jayce and McKenna; sisters, Laura Olin (Gary) their children Chris (Kirstin) and Jason (Mckenzie), Nicole Olin, Keri Yancey (Clyde), Laurie Mackey and her daughter, Tea Zizis; Aunt, Christine Petosa “Kiki”; in-laws, Harry Miner Jr., James Bronk (Darlene); brother and sister in-laws, Chris Jackson (Cindy) and their daughters, Nicole, Kelsey, Hannah, Warren Pollock Jr. (Megan) and their sons, Jason and Tucker, Mike Miner and his daughters, Jackie, Dallas, Jessie; special friends, T.J. Romaine (Erica), Patrick Mackey (Jessica), Paul Furman (Nicole), Jake Manzer, Chris Frasier; Aunts and Uncles, Roberta and Frederick Kennedy, Donald and Carol Mackey, Christine Petosa “KiKi”, Woody and Martha Frank; as well as numerous cousins, and 2 great nieces. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown with Reverend Paul Messner officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s memory can be made to the Ithaca College.
