Michael J. Palumbo

Michael J. Palumbo, age 57, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. Born on May 7, 1964, in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Stephen Palumbo and Sheila (Cerrone) Habla. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Marines and was deployed in Desert Storm as part of the 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of the Johnstown Moose and the Combat Vets Association. He loved to spend time with his family, fishing and riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Dutcher) Palumbo who he married on June 7, 1997; children, Sean Palumbo, Keira Palumbo; mother, Sheila Cerrone Habla, ; brother, Rick Palumbo (Cheryl); sister, Shelley Palumbo; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael is predeceased by his father, Stephen Palumbo. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown with Father Matthew Wetsel officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s memory may be made to the Brennan Humane Society, 437 9 Mile Tree Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078.
