Rebecca Ann (Becky) Tibbetts b. 1938 in Rochester, NY, daughter of Charlotte and John Putnam. Graduated from Charlotte High School (1956), Rochester, and from Cornell University (1960). Married to Michael Tibbetts for 60 wonderful years (1960); children Scott (Jennifer) and Lynne (Gary, ex-spouse); grandchildren Jeremy (Kailey), Hali, Matthew (Rachel), Joshua, Nathan, and Alysha; great-grandchildren Eyan and Olivia. Sisters Charlotte (Don) Bastian, Debbie (Gus) Calleri, Jennifer Putnam (Bill Dalton), and many nieces and nephews. A woman of many talents, Becky taught second grade in the Springfield, MA, and Salt Lake City school systems and pre-K through second grade as a substitute teacher in the Johnstown School District for over forty years, retiring at age 81 in 2019. She loved being with children. Becky also loved sewing and had her own business, "Crafts By Becky", for over 20 years. She thoroughly enjoyed exercise and dancing, and participated in and led the "Stretch Class" at the Johnstown Senior Center for many years. Becky's love of the arts brought her to numerous Proctor's musicals, movies at the Spectrum in Albany, and local music and stage performances. She was loved by many and will be truly missed. Donations in memory of Becky may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville, NY; The Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern, NY.; The Johnstown Public Library; or to a charity of your own choice.
